Windows single sign-on (on-prem)

Let company PCs open your on-prem desk without typing a password.

What it does

With single sign-on, staff on company PCs who are already signed in to Windows go straight to the desk. Without it, they see the Active Directory sign-in form, which still works. This applies to on-prem desks only.

Turn it on

On the Lifecycle server, run the Windows sign-in setup script that comes with Lifecycle, as an administrator. If you run it on a domain controller, it also creates a Group Policy so every company PC picks up the setting.

If you manage Group Policy yourself, your Windows administrator needs to trust the desk's address as an intranet site in Edge and Chrome and register it for Windows sign-in on the Lifecycle server.

Check it worked

On a company PC, restart or refresh Group Policy, then open the desk in Edge or Chrome. You should land on the Queue without a sign-in form. If not, check that the PC is joined to the domain and that the address in the browser exactly matches the one you set up.
