Your desk address and invites
How your desk's address is chosen, how to rename it, and how coworkers join.
Your desk's address
A hosted desk's address comes from the email domain of whoever creates it. adam@contoso.com gets lifecycle.lol/contoso-com. Names use letters, numbers, and hyphens.
An IT admin can rename the desk under Settings → Instance. The old address forwards to the new one for 90 days, and you can switch back during that time.
More than one desk
A company can have more than one desk, for example for a business unit that needs its own queue and settings. Extra desks get addresses like contoso-com-2.
Invites
IT admins invite people by work email under Settings → Access. The person joins when they sign in with that exact address.
Coworkers with the same company email domain can also choose Request invite. IT admins see the request and choose Accept or Decline.
Managed service providers
An MSP plan covers many client companies under one subscription. Each connected Microsoft 365 tenant counts as one company, even if it holds several brands. See Pricing for details.
