What Lifecycle is
One desk for IT and HR to onboard, change, offboard, and recover equipment, with a written process and a record of who did what.
What it does
Lifecycle tracks the work around a new hire, a role change, a departure, and the equipment that comes back. HR opens a ticket. IT works through it stage by stage, following the checklist written in Instructions. Every action is saved in History with who did it and when.
Inventory keeps track of devices and who has them. Shipping creates labels and keeps tracking on the ticket. Money shows what onboarding and equipment cost over time. Servers tracks servers and service accounts.
Hosted or on-prem
Hosted: your company gets its own private desk on lifecycle.lol, for example lifecycle.lol/contoso-com. On-prem: Lifecycle runs on a Windows server you control, and your data stays there.
Employees who are not desk staff never need a staff account. When a device is being replaced or transferred, they get an email link to the employee portal.
Who sees what
Staff see the parts of the desk their role allows: IT, HR, or Finance. An IT admin grants roles under Settings → Access. If you can sign in but see nothing, ask your IT admin to give you a role.
