Lifecycle
Lifecycle gives IT and HR one queue for new hires, role changes, departures, and returned equipment. Each ticket carries your written checklist, so nothing depends on memory. Every step has an owner, and every action is recorded.
The problem
The steps sit in old documents, inboxes, and memory. A license gets missed, a laptop ships late, or access stays open after someone leaves. When a manager or auditor asks who did what and when, there is no clear answer. Lifecycle writes the process down once, puts it on every ticket, and records each step as it is done.
How it works
01
HR starts an onboarding, a change, or an offboarding with the person and the dates. IT sees it on the queue right away.
02
The ticket moves through User, Device, Quality, and Ship. Each stage shows the steps from your Instructions, so every hire gets the same treatment.
03
Checked steps, changes, and setup work are saved to History with who did them and when. On your own server, Windows setup steps can be run from the checklist and undone from History.
04
An offboarding opens a return ticket. Shipping labels come from the ticket, and retired devices follow your retirement steps.
What's included
Staff see the parts their role allows. Your IT admin decides who gets what.
Onboarding, change, offboarding, and return tickets in one list. Each ticket shows its stage and who owns it.
Your process, written once. Sections and steps for each ticket type and stage, kept up to date by IT. Any step can carry a cost.
Add, change, and retire devices. Look at everything in the All view, or one device type at a time, with who has each one.
Every action, with who did it and when. The answer when a manager or auditor asks.
Your staff, kept in sync with Microsoft 365. Start a change or an offboarding from the person.
USPS, FedEx, and UPS labels from the ticket, with tracking kept on the same record.
Servers and service accounts, with checklists from setup to retirement and reminders when passwords are due.
What onboarding and equipment cost over time, from the costs on your instructions and the devices you add.
Hosted or on-prem
Hosted: sign in with your work Microsoft 365 account and your company gets its own private desk on lifecycle.lol. On-prem: install Lifecycle on a Windows server you control. Your data stays on that server, and staff sign in with Microsoft 365 or Active Directory.
Employee portal
When a device is replaced or transferred, the employee gets an email link. They confirm the device, choose pickup or delivery, and send back the old one. Links open on portal.lifecycle.lol.
Replacements come with a two-week return window, so the old device makes it back to inventory.
Shipping and inventory
Create USPS, FedEx, and UPS labels from the ticket. Tracking stays on the same record, so nobody has to ask where the laptop is.
Asset tag, serial number, warranty, and who has it. Retiring a device follows the steps you set: wipe, photos, and a listing for resale.
Why it holds up
The process lives in Instructions, not in someone's head. Update it once and every new ticket uses the new steps.
Licenses, devices, access, and shipping are steps on the checklist. Each ticket shows what is done and what is still open.
History shows who did each step and when. Windows setup steps run on your own server can be tested, applied, and undone.
Accountability
Each stage on a ticket can be assigned to a person, so it is clear who is responsible. Sensitive tickets can be limited to the admins you choose. Each company gets its own private desk.

Who it is for
Work one queue with the checklist in front of you. Keep devices and access current as people join, move, and leave.
Start onboardings, changes, and offboardings without chasing IT by email. The ticket is the handoff.

Pricing
Each connected Microsoft 365 tenant is one company. If one tenant contains several companies, divisions, or brands that have merged, that is still one company. A second Microsoft 365 tenant is another company. You do not buy a separate license for each company name under the same tenant. Yearly billing saves 35% versus paying monthly for a year.
